More recently, I have researched, practiced and been extensively trained in advanced meditation practice and techniques. I am currently an experienced meditator and teacher of meditation.

My story:
In 1984 after going through a difficult and traumatic childhood subsequent to my mother abandoning my brother and myself when I was 5 years old into the hands of a physically abusive stepmother, I was suffering from severe anxiety which mostly manifested itself in the form of social phobia. This made it very difficult if not impossible to interact with people. My doctor and mainstream health care were of no help. But fortunately, I came across a hypnotherapist which by then, my replacement stepmother was using and managed to scrape the money together to pay for two sessions which seemed to help slightly. However, due to being on a low wage I could not afford any further sessions. Fortunately, I came across a good book on hypnotherapy and using self-hypnosis which I had learned from a book I had previously studied, I managed a considerable reduction in my symptoms, enabling me to fully interact socially.

I eventually trained in psychotherapy and hypnotherapy and at one time was running a successful practice from three separate clinics in different towns. I found that the type of therapy I had experienced personally also helped many other people. I have therefore had the pleasure of helping a considerable number of patients over the years.

For your peace of mind
I have been thoroughly screened in accordance with all mental health professionals. These checks include the UK Protection of Children Act 1999 List (POCAL) for individuals working with children and other vulnerable groups, along with the Police authority clearance certificate. Currently known as the Disclosure and Barring service (DBS). I hold an enhanced certificate. Additionally, I am covered by Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurances.
